Families Rooted in Christ

Parents, it’s time to book your sitter and plug this event into your calendar. It’s a short, powerful session that will leave you feeling encouraged, empowered, and equipped to continue investing in your children’s lives!

We've got two speakers who know what they're talking about when it comes to helping families in today's digital age:

CHRISTINA CROOK

CEO & Founder, JOMO

Embracing the Joy of Mission Out
Strategies to Improve Digital Well-Being at Home and School with Christina Crook

Award-winning digital well-being expert, CHRISTINA CROOK, shares how we know that children are struggling with the effects of tech overuse, and that setting digital boundaries is crucial for supporting their well-being and academic success.

That’s where JOMO comes in. JOMO—the Joy of Missing Out—redefines FOMO by helping us focus on what really matters. In this session, you'll learn practical strategies to align your family’s tech use with your values and goals. We'll explore how to develop a healthy technology philosophy, identify your family’s core values, and create a family tech agreement that fosters balance and intentionality.

Christina is a pioneer in digital well-being and a leading voice on mindful technology use. She’s the award-winning author of The Joy of Missing Out and Good Burdens, and the founder of JOMO Campus, a digital wellness education platform helping people and organizations thrive in a hyperconnected world.

Christina helps schools, teams, and communities cultivate focus, creativity, and connection through intentional tech use. She has collaborated with organizations such as Oxford University, Adobe, Gimlet Media, and Shopify to advance digital wellness practices globally.

Practice Matters
Forming Faith in our Kids

A practical, hope-filled session designed to help parents understand how everyday habits shape their children’s faith.

Drawing on the wisdom of spiritual formation thinkers like Dallas Willard, Richard Foster, and John Mark Comer, AJ will invite you to move beyond belief alone and pay attention to the practices, rhythms, and desires that are forming your children. Rather than adding more pressure or programs, this approach helps you notice what is already shaping your kids and encourages small, intentional practices that slowly and faithfully orient the heart toward Jesus over time.

AJ is the Executive Director of ACSI Western Canada, where they focus on leadership and advocacy within the educational sector. With a diverse background that includes roles in public relations, higher education recruitment, and youth ministry, AJ has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting youth and educational initiatives.

He previously served as the Vice President of External Relations and High School Chaplain at Briercrest College and Seminary, and as a Youth Pastor at Moose Jaw Alliance Church. AJ holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Business Administration in Digital Marketing from Messiah University.
